We’ve been enjoying some of the lazy (hot & humid) days of summer here in Florida.
In a couple of days we’ll be headed to to Vegas for some dry heat which will be quite the change I’m sure. We’re arriving late though & will only be spending one night so we won’t be getting to do much, if anything, besides sleep while we’re there.
The next morning we’ll have to leave about 7am & drive a rental car to Utah where we hope to arrive by noon in order to spend a few days with Roy’s sister Barb & her family, as well as his Mom & Joe, who are driving up from Kansas to meet us there & celebrate the Independence Day weekend together. (Whew, that was a long sentence!) We’re really looking forward to it!
The reason we’re flying to Vegas & driving a rental car 5 hours each way is because it was $700 cheaper to go this route than to fly directly to Salt Lake. Plus the rental car miles are unlimited. I got us a pretty sweet deal by using Priceline & it included the rental car in the package! I also used Priceline to submit a bid & got us a 4 star hotel near the airport for only $35.00. I love this site!!! Definitely worth checking out if you’ve got travel plans.
I probably won’t be blogging much while I’m gone but check in anyways cause you just never know!
